Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Notorious Lipstick Review and Swatches

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Notorious Liquid Lipstick

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Notorious Liquid Lipstick

Giorgio Armani Lip Maestro Notorious Liquid Lipsticks are a limited-edition collection of
liquid lipsticks that are inspired by cinema and Hollywood glamour, available in a total of 6 shades the line contains a bold red, a muted orange and 4 pinks. Giorgio Armani claim that these lipsticks
have “creamy formula infused with concentrated pigments” and

a “plush velvet matte finish”. I found these liquid lipsticks to live up to most of Giorgio Armani’s claims.  For the most part, they have a good creamy formula with most shades having a beautiful smooth, mousse like texture, some shades did have a tendency to apply slightly unevenly and one shade was less creamy than others, but for the most part the line is pretty good. The pigment of all shades (again, except one) were impressive with all delivering good pigment to the lips and strong colour. In terms of finish, some shades were definitely more matte than others with some taking on a more creamy, glossy style finish. In terms of staying power these aren’t your stereotypical long-wearing liquid lipstick that many brands carry today, but their staying power isn’t the worst. For the most part these last for around six hours, but do come off and require touch-ups after eating and drinking. As the shine wears down the shades leave a slight, subtle stain to the lips. All in all, I enjoyed these liquid lipsticks, they are more my style (I’m not a fan of super duper-matte liquid lipsticks) and I think Giorgio Armani have done a great job with the shade line of this collection.

Swatches,
301 A-List, 408 Notorious, 515 Dress Code, 516 Spotlight, 517 Maharaja and 518 Paparazzi Pink

301 A-List is a warm, muted orange with a tiny hit of warm golden shimmer. This shade had good pigment but I found that it did apply unevenly in some areas.
This shade would suit those with a medium to dark skintone best.

408 Notorious is a warm, orange based red with no shimmer and a velvety matte finish. This shade would suit those with a medium to dark skintone best.

515 Dress Code is a creamy medium pink with no shimmer. This shade had good pigment and would look good on all skintones.

516 Spotlight is a gorgeous creamy warm bright coral-pink that screams summer. This shade was my favourite out of the range and contained high pigment finished with a gorgeous shine. This shade would look great on fair and dark skintones.

517 Maharaja is a cool pearly deepened fuchsia with a soft creamy matte finish. This shade had great pigment but was slightly more unforgiving to lip lines and dryness.

518 Paparazzi Pink is a sheer, cool-toned baby pink with fine shimmer. The formula of this shade fell flat in comparison to the others will less pigment and a more “sticky” texture causing the product to apply unevenly.
